The romantic Lake of Constance with the island of Mainau
The Bodensee is Germany’s largest inland lake offering a great number of sights along its 273 km circumference. The Bodensee, also called the “Swabian Sea”, is worth a trip at any season. Due to its favourable position, the winters are mild and summers very warm and the area boasts a unique flora and fauna.
The island of Mainau, called the “Island of Flowers”, is worth visiting not only for its palm trees and other mediterranean plants, but also because of its special climate – it is one of the warmest areas in Germany. On this wonderful trip you will also discover the island town of Lindau and the university city of Konstanz with its fascinating old town.
